Meet our first female ambassador, the little salt water princess.
Aaliyah Latheef, the little surfer from the Maldives, affectionately known as the “Little Salt Water Princess,” lives an adventurous life on the seas with her family aboard their safari boat, “The Seafarer.” Embracing a wandering lifestyle, the ocean serves as Aaliyah’s home and playground.
Her parents, Haamaan and Stafy, share a deep love for the ocean. Haamaan, the boat’s captain, is a skilled dive instructor, while Stafy, an experienced surfer, balances her passion for the waves with managing daily life and homeschooling their children, Aaliyah and her younger brother, Prince.
Aaliyah’s connection with the water was evident from a young age. By three, she was already surfing at Chickens Surf Point, a local spot known for its friendly waves. The locals quickly fell in love with the fearless little girl and her cheerful smile, cheering her on as she mastered wave after wave. Her talent soon caught the eye of Mula, a sunscreen brand that now sponsors her with sunblock and other products, along with attention from other surf brands.
With her family’s support and Mula’s sponsorship, Aaliyah continues to thrive. Every day brings new adventures, whether exploring hidden coves, discovering marine life, or perfecting her surfing skills. While her dream is to compete in junior surf competitions around the world, for now, she’s content riding the waves at Chickens Surf Point, surrounded by those who love and support her.
Aaliyah is a shining example of a young girl with big dreams, living life to the fullest, and an inspiration to both kids and adults.
